Delicious Ground Beef and Potato Recipes for Any Day

Today, I’m sharing two mouthwatering recipes featuring ground beef and potatoes that are sure to become your new favorites. Let’s dive right in!

Recipe 1: Sautéed Ground Beef with Potatoes

Start by heating 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add 1 large potato, sliced into thin rounds, and cook for about 8 minutes, stirring occasionally to ensure even cooking. While you’re cooking, let’s talk about something fun – what’s your zodiac sign? I’ve been curious lately if certain zodiac signs enjoy food more than others. Drop your thoughts in the comments! Once the potatoes are slightly golden, add 1 lb (450g) of minced beef to the pan. Stir well and break the meat into smaller pieces, allowing the flavors to meld with the potatoes. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Continue cooking for 7-9 minutes, stirring occasionally to ensure the potatoes and beef brown evenly. You can also add some dried or fresh dill for an extra layer of flavor. Once everything is cooked to perfection, this savory dish is ready to serve!

Recipe 2: Baked Beef and Potato Casserole

For the second recipe, preheat your oven to 180°C/356°F. Start by greasing a 25 cm ovenproof pan with a little oil. Layer half of 4 peeled and thinly sliced potatoes in the bottom of the pan. Season with salt and black pepper. Then, add 1 lb (450g) of lean minced beef, spreading it evenly over the potatoes. Season the meat with salt, pepper, and a pinch of garlic powder and sweet paprika. Add ½ finely chopped onion on top of the beef to enhance the flavors.

Place the remaining sliced potatoes over the beef layer and season with salt and pepper again. Cover the pan with aluminum foil and bake for about 30-35 minutes until the potatoes are tender and cooked through.

In the meantime, prepare an egg mixture by whisking together 3 eggs, seasoning them with salt, pepper, and ½ teaspoon of oregano. Add ½ cup (100ml) of whipping cream and 3.5 oz (100g) of shredded cheddar cheese to the mixture. Once the potatoes are cooked, pour this egg mixture over the casserole and return it to the oven for an additional 15-20 minutes. The result is a creamy, cheesy, and satisfying dish that will leave everyone asking for more!
